Turtles... the kings
Seven kinds of sea turtles are protected at the beaches of Tortuguero,
therefore the name of the place.
The small town lays between white sand beach
and dense jungles bathed by canals joining
an eco-system protected under a National Park.
The itinerary by itself, is a small picture of what you can expect to see.
Cruise the canals, visit the turtle museum,
spot tucans and caimans,
relax at your lodge, here everything is about turtles,
even the pool shape !

Caño Blanco - Pachira Lodge
Hotel pick up. Trip through Braulio Carrllo National Park and typical breakfast on route. Visit to the banana packing plant, learn about one of the place's prime product. Boat boarding at puerto Caño Blanco. Fabulous landscapes as you travel along the Tortuguero canals. Lodge arrival, and after lunch visit the town, the green turtle museum and the beach area.
Day in Tortuguero
Day starter: a guided walking tour through the trails and free time for resting and pictures before lunch time. Check all the flora faune life when sailing in the small open boat. The little cruise goes through the Tortuguero park canals.
Caño Blanco - San José
After breakfast, boat transfer back to Caño Blanco and then shared ground transfer to Guapiles
and then your San José hotel drop-off.
